This LibGuide was created as a part of my final Capstone Project for the Renaissance Education Group, Inc's Upward Bound Summer 2019 program. For this project, I looked into the various medicinal and historical uses of the herb angelica. I also looked at the biological characteristics of the herb that make it unique. Angelica is an herb that has been used for thousands of years by herbalists and doctors alike. It's unique amongst other Umbelliferae for its odour, which is pleasant despite being musky and strong. The roots itself have a strong aroma as well.
The leaves, roots, and seeds are used for medical purposes.
